Morning mayhem? Bedtime battles? Learn how to avoid major meltdowns by spending an evening with best-selling authors Joanna Faber and Julie King. They will discuss their book How to Talk So Little Kids Will Listen: A Survival Guide to Life with Children Ages 2-7 and share practical advice on how to effectively communicate with young children. Find out how using empathy and the power of connection will engage children and ease everyday challenges.

Please leave the kiddos at home for this adults-only night out. Parents, grandparents, caregivers and educators are encouraged to attend. Tattered Cover Book Store will sell books on site. 

6:30-7 pm: Browse the library’s early childhood offerings; enjoy light refreshments

7-8:30 pm: Presentation and questions*

8:30 pm: Book signing

*Spanish language Interpreter will be available.
