Join Jill Zastko, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and Smoky Hill staff member, for this mindfulness meditation session. Mindfulness meditation has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep and have positive effects on immune function. Mindfulness has also been shown to increase compassion and empathy as well as feelings of interconnectedness -- essential traits for supporting both individual and collective resilience.
This one-hour session will include:
No prior meditation experience is needed. Plenty of modifications and tips will be offered to assist you in understanding and working with many of the common obstacles encountered in meditation practice. Bring your curiosity and questions!
