Poisoning the Well: How Forever Chemicals Contaminated America

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Smoky Hill Library

Description

Join us for a presentation with award-winning environmental journalist Sharon Udasin, author of Poisoning the Well: How Forever Chemicals Contaminated America.

Discover how PFAS contamination became a national public health crisis. Udasin will trace a history of corporate greed, military impunity and community devastation based on original reporting in four highly contaminated places, including in Colorado. Learn how ordinary people, who were also fighting for their own lives, took action to fix a broken regulatory system.

Sharon Udasin is a Boulder-based journalist and winner of the SEAL Environmental Journalism Award. She has been reporting on water issues for 15 years.
