From Library Staff

EB White had this to say of the original film adaptation, "The movie of 'Charlotte's Web' is about what I expected it to be. The story is interrupted every few minutes so that somebody can sing a jolly song. I don't care much for jolly songs."

I loved this movie when I was a child, and now my 4- and 6-year old children love it too. While not as sophisticated as modern animation, the story is charming and the characters are rich, and my daughter is singing the songs at the dinner table. Still a winner after all these years.
