Very selective history, of the "Lost Cause" variety. as an example,the south is lauded for never importing slaves. Unstated is that the U.S. outlawed the importation of slaves in 1808. Confederate soldiers are praised as more "gentlemanly". No mention of "Bleeding Kansas" or other less than gentlemanly happenings. Take this one with a grain of salt,at least salt lick sized
