From Library Staff

The Legend of 1900 is an epic story of a man who lives his entire life within a ship, but also a story about music, hope, friendship, passion, and despair, and about the fear of facing the unknown. Recommended by AL_Lyudmyla

A very sweet story, but overly saccharine. The cookie-cutter/formulaic premise was quite romantic, but laid on a bit thick. Maybe it was Ennio Morricone's gooey score; maybe it was the resident prodigy orphan (who realistically should've/would've been booted off the ship) turned superstar; maybe it was Max's starry-eyed "love" for the dude... Maybe I'm being harsh. It was sweet.
