Rather middling whodunnit chock-full of red herrings. I find all these Dalglieshes and Morses fairly interchangeable and not half so deep or well-written as those with more of an historical agenda (i.e., Foyle's War or George Gently) or racism and sexism (like Prime Suspect). This one is at least a bit atmospheric, as it's set at the Inns of Court and the Middle Temple. But like the Agatha Christies, the shallowness of it all begins to wear on one.
