Josh Hutcherson makes this a boring and annoying movie.

Super sad at the end, but over all a great family friendly movie.

Bridge to Terabithia is a cute and sweet movie that follows the story of two new friends named Jesse and Leslie (who are played by Josh Hutcherson and Anna Sophia Robb) and their exciting adventures together. Using their wild and creative imaginations, they create a whole new world together called Terabithia where they rule as king and queen. At first, this movie is very cute but the ending is so incredibly sad and unexpected. I would rate this film 3 out of 5 stars.

So beautiful.
the only movie that ever made all 5 members of my family cry.
It is, most of all, about imagination, and friendship.
Dare you to sit down with the kids and make a night of it.

When the school loner teams up with the quiet new girl in class a peculiar friendship develops. Soon they are playing deep in the woods where they imagine themselves to be king and queen of an imaginary realm. This movie had lots of promise but unfortunately Csupo gave it a double dose of Disney syrup and turned it into a sappy melodrama for preteens. In choosing to smother audiences with schmaltz and shallow pathos he missed an opportunity to really delve into the dark fantasy world of children....a theme explored with greater effect in films such as "Tideland" and "Pan's Labyrinth". Everything about this film is over-the-top from the ponderous soundtrack to Anna Sophia Robb's cloying little saucer-eyed waif. Not recommended for diabetics.

Very good! might be a tiny bit scary for children 7 and under. Sure shows you how to use your imagination! starring Annasophia Robb and Josh Hutcherson (two of my favorite actors)

One of the few movies-based-on-books that the movie way outdoes the book. (in my opinion). Excellent story! Awesome acting by Josh Hutcherson and Anna-Sophia Robb!!

I am in love with this movie. It is heart warming and a true friendship and imagination story along the lines of a girl and boy who meet and go on a wild adventure back in the woods to find out about a fantastic secret beyond imagine! I will be a spoiler and tell you that Leslie ends up being killed by a powerful current.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: An intense killing scene occurs at the end. No blood no violence seen but very sad death moment in the end. I recommend ages 10 and up only. Also for mature material that kids may not understand quite fully yet.
