Feel like something is wrong with me, but I just could not stay on track with this book and finally gave up half way through. The twist of characters in the past/present/future and multitude of relations was so confusing and off target that I was left with wondering what the plot, if any, was.

Another very enjoyable book by Jude Deveraux. I love that her books are NOT predictable and I love the intrigue created by history as it unfolds. I have read her Summerhouse series before and thoroughly enjoyed those as well. The characters are very believable and her story line makes you keep reading. It is hard to put her books down without reading quickly to the end. I am anxious to read the next in the Edilean series.

I thought this was an excellent novel. I really enjoyed the characters and the entire plot. I happened to find this book purely by accident but I have read this author previously. I have read the second one of the series and can't wait to start the third one. Very good and highly recommended. A quick read.

I loved it. It might have been confusing at times, and almost depressing at others, but it was a really good book in the end. the only problem is that the rest of the series doesn't tell you what happens next.

Extremely boring - badly written - couldn't get past the second chapter.
