Simon Pegg just gets better with time. That dude is incredible and Megan Fox rocks the house. I've said it b4 but, Megan really did herself proud! She could have been a Hollywood Bimbo - but she withstood all the temptations and became a class-act!!! Good on Ms. Fox!

I mostly enjoyed it. In particular there was some bold sexual identity equality themes backed by direct imagery. Bold for Hollywood anyways. This was a character driven film with a weekly recycled plot and even recycled scenes from other movies in the genre. I usually really enjoy Simon Pegg, but in this film I was put off by his Mr. Been antics and stupid actions that for me striped the credibility of his characters intelligence, education and ability, discrediting the idealistic righteous character base and replacing it with a brat child stuck in Simon Pegg's body. (maybe thats what they wanted, but it was too much for me and detracted from the film after the first act) Kristen Dunst was Kristen Dunst. Jeff Bridges had his moments. I really enjoyed Gillian Anderson. For me the Actress who took the cake, kept the movie alive and fully surprised me (I am not a fan) was Megan Fox.

good light comedy sendup of celebrity culture. simon pegg is funny as always.

it starts off as an apparent satirical commentary on celebrity and quickly degenerates into a mess ... too many story lines that don't really support a plot, crude slapstick, inappropriate scenes with children ... too bad

After watching Simon Pegg in this movie Adam Sandler doesn't look so bad in comparison. Not a very good movie.

Oh, this is unbearably bad; the script and direction are abysmal. A movie shouldn't make you look for a rock to crawl under. If you want something funny with Simon Pegg, watch Run Fatboy Run or Shaun of the Dead. But don't waste you time with this %&#@.

Terrible Storyline, terrible acting. Simon Pegg is usually so much better than this. Very disappointing!

A bold concept, but executed too tentatively. So despite a promising premise & cast, the story & characters never quite seem to get off the ground.

Good - How to Lose Friends & Alienate People (2008) 110 min. This is a well crafted comedy with intelligent dialogue and smart humour throughout. To see the star, Simon Pegg, shout “Eng-a-land” over and over at a Hollywood party while completely intoxicated was great on its own for the price of admission. Kirsten Dunst plays the romantic lead in the film with the stunningly beautiful Megan Fox as Simon’s literary focus. The film is about a British reporter trying to make it in the U.S. through a prestigious magazine organization. Jeff Bridges as the editor of the magazine is wonderfully crass. The film is funny and very enjoyable.
