I can't stand Renee Zellweger but I love Harry Connick Jr. I didn't really like this movie except for one part that wasn't romantic but I wish it could have been. Had there been more romance I think I would have liked the movie better.

Sorry but found silly to the point of annoying. Also felt like they stole the community life from Fargo. Turned off after 20 minutes.

Lucy Hill is a major business woman who is taking on a new major project in the hopes of getting a promotion. To her surprise, while working with the factory she meets the man of her dreams that takes her away from her busy life. This movie is the same as a million other movies within the romantic comedy genre since it is easy to package and re-cast, but what I found different about this movie is that there seemed to be some genuine sentiment behind every cheesy line. I would rate this movie 2.5/5 stars and recommend it to those who don’t mind watching the same familiar story with new characters. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

I enjoyed this funny and predictable tale of very different people coming together.

Eh. Pretty boring and annoying.

Watchable, but not great. Just a slightly new twist on an oft-told story.

I like New in Town more than I probably should. There's really nothing original about it. I don't know if it's Harry Connick, Jr.'s charm, the fact that it is set in New Ulm, Minnesota (but wasn't filmed in our great state), its depiction of small town life or simply the tapioca pudding, but I like this movie enough to have seen it more than once. If you're looking for a mildly entertaining romantic comedy that you don't have to think about, give it a try. Fun fact: This is at least the second time that J.K. Simmons has acted in a movie set in Minnesota that wasn't filmed here; he was also in Juno.

It helps to have lived in Minnesota for a while to get the local jokes, which abound in this movie. I lived in Minneapolis for a year and I really miss the down-to-earth people if not the winters!!! I'm giving it 4 stars only because I really like Renee Zellweger as a comedic actress and the Minnesota jokes. It's a cute (someone else used this word and it's perfect) movie and the plot is predictable and average. Still, good entertainment if not very challenging.

Cute in some places, but extremely predictable. A nice mindless diversion.

This is one of my go to boy meets girl movies because I really like Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick, Jr but the chemistry wasn't there.

I do keep coming back to it because I adore the lead actors, humor, and you end up wanting to root for them and the factory.
