My mom read me this entire series beginning when I was in kindergarten. I always looked forward to spending alone time with mom each night snuggled in bed to read together. Thanks to my mom for making the reader I am today. ~Kati

Read about a family on the frontier and their daily lives, something that Beth, the homebody, might enjoy.

Life was so different in pioneer times. Do you think life for the Ingalls family was better or worse for it?

I am rereading this book for the first time as an adult, and I am surprised that I loved it so much as a child. Since the book is mostly a description of the tasks the Ingalls had to complete to survive, I am surprised I found it interesting. Reading it this time around was just as enjoyable.
