I just can't with these books. They started out ok, but come on. There is no way she's better than the detective in this series every single time. It's annoying how the main character constantly corrects people. And don't get me started on how much of a prude she is. It seems the author is stuck in the 50's. Someone please tell the author that the phrase "she thought that but didn't say it" is so unbelievably over used. Pick another phrase for you character's thoughts for god sake.

I enjoy this series. The characters are fun. The recipes are great. Plan to try some.
