Anthony Hopkins give a no-holds-barred performance as the ledgendary artist Pable Picasso. The world knew his passion for canvas, color, metal and ceramics, but little was known about his other passion--women. Told from the viewpoint of his longtime mistress and mother of his children.

Worth watching - if the subject interests you, also try the book "The Woman Who Says No", about Francoise Gilot's life - she was still painting - living in New York, and Paris, past 90 years of age.

I read the paper in 1996, found the film review in the Los Angeles Times. It spoke on Anthony Hopkins excitement on playing the Spanish Painter. I loved it so much that I promised to see it and I've seen it's blue about a million times. The end credits I mean, right after the bull fighters cry.

A largely underwhelming biopic with Sir Anthony Hopkins portraying Picasso as an egomaniacal, womanizing pig. Natascha McElhone, playing his mistress, Françoise, was stunning. The movie itself, however, was a yawner.

Pablo Picasso: "I really like intelligent women. Sometimes, of course, I like stupid ones too."
