"A young couple's relationship is pushed to the brink while vacationing in the Mediterranean. On the surface, Chris and Gitti appear blissfully in love while enjoying the sun and sand of Sardinia. But as they spend more time together, their silly games and playful teasing begin to unmask hidden fears and desires. When they accidentally run into another, seemingly happier and more successful couple, the tensions between them erupt."--Container.

This German film presents a realistic view of relationships and how there are both ups and downs in any romantic relationship. It also emphasizes how difficult it can be to not compare one's relationship to other relationships. This movie is not too exciting, but it is intriguing.

If you're looking for a nice romantic comedy, look elsewhere. This movie takes on a relationship turning sour head on. Anyone who has been romantically involved where it's clear it will not work out, will relate. AL_ALISON

I liked this German film. It told the story of a couple vacationing in Sardinia whilst their relationship starts to show its strain. I agree with poolman's comment that the couple wasn't interesting at all (I found Gitti to be shallow and quite annoying as a character to watch throughout the movie), and hard to believe they were still a couple after a few incidents in the movie, but the film was very well made and i would recommend it.

A different style of movie making to be sure but not one I find attractive. This relationship film is neither the schmaltzy Hollywood type nor the 'dirty little secrets' British type but one where the couple are seemingly devoid of emotion most of the time. Especially contrasted with the 2 other 'normal' couples we meet, it's amazing that Chris and Gitti ever got together yet alone stayed as bf and gf in such a barren love affair.
