This book is currently the final entry in the Black Jewels novels, though Anne Bishop has said it will not be the last, as she plans to return to the realms and will even return back in time far enough to resurrect characters she killed off in this book so that she can fill in more of their back-stories. This makes me very happy, because this book was very sad. Twilight's Dawn is made up of four novellas, two of which fill in gaps in characters' lives from the previous books and the other two of which go forward into the future of the characters' lives post-Shalador's Lady. And though sad, the stories were still very gripping and worth reading. I'm just very much looking forward to more entries in this fascinating series.

A very well written book, as always. A fine collection of short stories to fill in the gaps such as: "What about Falonar? What about Sylvia and Saetan? What happens after Janelle and Daemon is left behind?". I can't seem to get enough of the series, so any new stories are good!

These stories remind me of a swan song for the jewels world and the first characters that we met within it. There are several novellas in this book which explain everything from what happened to Falonar and end well past Jaenelle's life span with a new version of witch to soothe the soul of those who were left behind. A nice set of stories, but the original series is still my favourite.
