A German shepherd police dog witnesses a murder and if his owner - an Iraq war vet and cop-turned-thief - is convicted of the crime, the dog could be put down. No one loves man's best friend more than attorney Andy Carpenter, and he decides to represent the poor canine. When he discovers that the dog and his owner have unwittingly become involved in a case of much larger proportions, Andy will need the help of the police-trained dog.

As usual, an entertaining & fast paced read. Some changes to the line-up but most of your favourite characters are there with a few new scary bads guys thrown in. This series continues to be witty & cleverly plotted.

Great book. Fast paced, but not scary or violent. Intense, but at the same time light due to the humourous streak running through the book... just pure fun!

I think this is my new favorite author. Just plain writing, witty, good story, no muss no fuss. Just really liked this book and the other I read of his.
