This book thankfully slams the door shut on all the conspiracy theories regarding 9/11, but it really doesn't add that much to what we already knew.

Anthony Summers is a status quo author, seemingly raises some questions but then, in a nebulous fashion, appears to dispell them. Was his book satisfactory or unsatisfactory? I didn't learn anything, and I felt there was a tremendous amount Summers left out, the fatal sin of ommission. He includes FBI Agent Williams' memo information on the jihadis at the Arizona flight school, ignored by the FBI [an 8-page memo, rather explicit also] mentions Agent Harry Samit, but leaves out a considerable amount of Samit's many futile interactions with the FBI echelon. Doesn't mention Agent Rowley, nor what transpired with former DIA analyst, Julie Sirrs. Does he mention anything about the Blackstone Group or Veritas Capital or AIG? No, nothing of the financial angles. Could any of these authors ever list ALL THE PASSENGERS ABOARD those 4 airliners, their occupations, companies affiliated with? No, they must never do that, for that might be too revealing! Confusing book. Summers believes he debunks controlled demo of 2 towers and Building 7, yet no mention of EurekaGGN and the dark fiber pumped into the top twenty floors of both towers just prior to their destruction, their steady state collapse, and the removal of all compound resistance? Without including all factors, there can be no debunking of any sort! What were the job functions of those 125 fatalities in the Pentagon? Why is everyone kept in ignorance, and why did several of the injured people at the Pentagon bring legal suit against the DoD for collusion? Never mentioned! [Never will they mention the 2:00AM email sent out to members of the DIA's Financial Management group for an emergency meeting in the Pentagon's west wall conference room that morning of 9/11/01.]

This is a definitive journalistic study of the events leading up to 9/11, 9/11 itself, and then investigative results after 9/11. The book is based upon several years of research, which included reading tens of thousands a pages of documents and conducting hundreds of interviews throughout the world. The last section of the book discusses questions of matters that have yet to be developed. The body of the book is over 400 pages and following the body are more than 100 pages of footnotes and bibliography. While the book indicates that there were many signals ignored by Bush prior to the attacks, the book also debunks most of the conspiracy theories that Bush and or government agencies brought the buildings down with explosives or missiles, etc.

A comprehensive look at the players and events leading up to and following 9/11, starting with the Clintion White House and covering all declassifed documents related to 9/11 for the next decade. With the benefit of passing time, many threads of the story can now be tied together.

Well worth reading.

"The Eleventh Hour succeeds in making the reader realize that vital questions remain unanswered, even after years of lawsuits and fact-finding commissions. Did the 9/11 hijackers have support networks in the U.S.? What roles might Saudi officials have played in supporting al-Qaeda? Why was no one in the U.S. government prosecuted or fired for gross negligence?"
