I couldn't put this book down. Anthony Lawrence's third book and equally exciting, informative and heartfelt. As large mammals are becoming endangered so are brave, committed animal-rights fighters like Lawrence. He weaves us into his adventure in the search for the last white rhinos in the Congo. The bureaucracy is appalling and the main reason why animals are becoming extinct not just in Africa but possibly worldwide. I had no understanding of the LRA until I read this book which puts a human face to their plight for peace. Equally appalling is how the mainstream media paints a different picture of the civil war in Africa. I highly suggest all his books to understand animals, politics and corruption. I'm only sorry that Anthony Lawrence passed away too soon for I am sure with his tenacity the animals would win out and corruption would be exposed to save them.

What a loss to the world when Anthony Lawrence died. A wonderful read.
