This teddy bear isn't for the young ones!

A touching, heartwarming story about an adult man and his teddy bear. Of course the stuffed teddy bear drinks, gambles, uses drugs and dates Norah Jones but accepts oral gratification from swimsuit models at bar closing time... but don't they all! Not a kids movie!

A very adult comedy with plenty of heart in the film to make it worth while.

A true C + movie which would be almost a 4 on the 5 point movie scale. We both found lots of humor. I often think some people over rate the movies they watch. A 5 to us could could likely get nominated for an Oscar. The humor and off color jokes made laugh. Worth the time spent watching this movie.

This is the funniest movie ever. It is about a little boy named John Bennett that makes a wish that Ted, his little teddy bear would come to life, which eventually comes true. Thirty years pass by and ted and john have grown to be adults and are still best friends, and they do crazy and wild things together that no one could expect that a man and his teddy bear do. The thing that I liked most about this movie was that their friendship never broke and they were always together. My favourite part of this movie would be when Ted moves out and John has to make some excuses so he can go hang out with ted and it is hilarious. I rate this movie 5 out of 5. @movieslayer123 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Some incredibly funny moments in this movie --- either interactions between Ted and "John" or Ted wreaking havoc on his own. Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to sustain such humor over the entire span of an almost 2 hour movie. Very few screwball comedies (e.g., "His Girl Friday", "The Producers", and Mel Brooks' other greatest movies) have achieved this. I found myself skipping through the mostly mundane filler material and stopping only to watch the moments when Ted was on the screen. Ted, and his interaction with John and others around him, is the sole attraction of this film.

The computer animation was incredible! I literally forgot most of the time that Ted was not a living, breathing creature. Also, highest kudos to the incredibly funny guy with the Boston Southie accent who was creating Ted's voice. He's as much a star as the animators! Fortunately, you get a chance to see him in action in some of the extra material and outtakes.

I didn't find it that funny and it was a bit sloppy in its execution of the plot, but it had its moments.

The language is bad. Don't watch within hearing distance of anyone who doesn't like the f word or mf.

I admire Seth MacFarlane for how he took a couple of silly ideas, made them into cartoons on TV and transformed himself into a multi-millionaire. He is now so rich that he does whatever he wants, and nobody ever turns him down. The premise behind "Ted" is intriguing. There are so many directions this could go. Unfortunately, he takes the least funny route.

The animation of Ted is remarkable. You will swear they found an actual living teddy bear to play the part. Which is why it is so disappointing that the movie is, well, just lame. Mila Kunis is watchable, and Norah Jones is, well, let's just say I'll never listen to her music the same way again!
