My name is Justine Meade and in my forty-three years there have only been a handful of people that I have loved. No, that's an exaggeration. Two. Two that I lost because of stupidity and selfishness. One was my son. The other was my dog". If there's been a theme in Justine Meade's life, it's loss. Her mother, her home, even her son. The one bright spot in her loss-filled life, the partner she could always count on, was Mack, her grey and black Sheltie - that is, until she is summoned back to her childhood home after more than twenty years away.

This audiobook was OUTSTANDING.
I have been listening as I walked on my treadmill & the hours have flown by. Each disc is a little more than an hour, so I walked for the hour & then listened to the rest of the disc in a living room chair.
That is until the end of the 6th disc, then I finished it without stopping.
I have a hold on 'One Good Dog' another audiobook by Susan Wilson.

As a dog lover, this book broke my heart and made my heart soar. Truly, a dog can change a person's life -- smoothing out the rough edges and healing heartache. This dog is so smart and has an amazing understanding of human need.

Awesome story for people who love their dogs. I could really relate as I have Shelties and know their loyalty to their owners. This story touches on lives of humans who have gone through many crises and how this special little dog touches each of them with healing. It is one of the best stories I have listened to.
