Parts of this book were hard for me to read and follow. There is a lot of detail about underground mining; in this case drilling through rock to make a place for sewage water to be held during heavy rains until the waste water treatment plant can process it.
A 17 year old boy lost his father in an accident when he was around 10. His uncle was disfigured in the same incident. Now his mother has passed from breast cancer and has given him a charge to find the uncle who disappeared. Can he find him? How will he go about it? What will he learn along the way? Who will he encounter? Will he be able to share anything with his uncle? Will his uncle even want him around?

A real feel good story. I loved the characters and the story line. Perhaps a little religious and preachy for some but it is not often you find a good clean story with a storyline and characters that truly hold the reader's affection.
