I enjoyed this book. I haven't yet read the othe two books, but they're both on hold. I would probably have to say that the River of Time series is better. But the book was still pretty good. I think she gonna end up with Will too. ;) I don't really like Pierre de Richelieu (is that his name?). But yeah, anyway. It was a pretty good and interesting book. (FYI: The action comes like at the end of the book!)

I began this book because Lisa Bergren wrote my favourite series of all time, the River through Time Series (Waterfall being the first) and was hoping for another home run. I enjoyed it and learned a lot about the time frame. She creates fantastic characters that leave you frustrated and then happy seconds later...I still think it will be Will as well...just sayin'. ;) Although it hasn't yet knocked it out of the park for me, its an enjoyable book that I would definitely recommend to someone looking for a little historical romance. Read Waterfall first though, no book will ever compare again!!!

for me a very slow beginning...also I'm not a fan of books written in first person but it started to grow on me and by 1/2 way through I was totally hooked !!! Ready for the next one.

At first I hated this book because it was well written, good plot, I was totally sucked into it, and I thought it ended where it did and didn't realize that it was a series. Now that I know there's another book, I'm super excited and recommend this to anyone! 5 stars from me.

Not bad for a Christian historical fiction. At first I found it very boring and a bit unrealistic. But the characters got better over time, even Cora, who was a bit annoying at the beginning. I like how she added a new character for romantic interest although I still feel like she will end up with Will. Can't wait to read the next one so I can find out :)
