In comparison with the very first book, this sequel to The Goddess Test has more action, but has lost some of its appeal for me. It started off very well in this series, but the rest of it is not as mythology based and a bit scattered. In my opinion, this book would be worth a read and to continue on, but it would not be my absolute favourite if I was to rank my reads. The author seems to have traded some previous suspense and mythology for false adventure and action. Like most book series, the second book is never quite as good as the first and last, which definitely qualifies for this. But overall, this book was mostly enjoyable, as I really like the protagonist Kate and found her life rather interesting. 4/5 - @Siri of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Totally amazing! Decsisions are made, her bed is made and now she has to sleep in it. Is that such a bad thing or does she really enjoy him? Does she really love him? This book is very emotional, and will get you wrapped up! LOVE IT!

Wow! So much better than the first one! A lot happened in this book, much more than I was expecting. This entire book left me feeling heartbroken, sympathetic, and wretched with the circumstances surrounding Kate and her love for Henry. I loved the book, and the totally amazing cliff-hanger ending left me extremely grateful that I have the third and last book with me!

This book is horrible. I am a Huge fan of greek myths, but this is Absoulutly horrible. The author made all the gods look like Whiney brat., and artemis oh Artemis, the goddess i respect most- SHE MADE HER LOOK LIKE A SLUT! I mean it! IN the first book she was a servent girl obseesed wit corsets....... in this book, she was this frighted little girl who shoWed her fellings often. AND SHE EVEN LET gods feel sorry fOR HER! Artemis is suppose to be a young girl, Confident and SHE is suppose to FIGHT! she isnt suppose to be weak scared person, Who needs help all the time. And SHE IS SUPPOSE TO HATE BOYS!, THATS WY I WORSHIP HER!!She is probably even more powerful then most of the gods (except for Zeus, Posiedon, Hades)

This is the worst historical book ever.

this was a pretty good book, in my opinion it was not as good as the Goddess Test (Book 1 in the series), but it still was a great read.

Good book. It makes me desparate for the next one. It leaves you on a cliff hanger.

Becoming immortal wasn't supposed to be the easy part. Though Kate is about to be crowned Queen of the Underworld, she's as isolated as ever. And despite her growing love for Henry, ruler of the Underworld, he's becoming ever more distant and secretive. Then, in the midst of Kate's coronation, Henry is abducted by the only being powerful enough to kill him: the King of the Titans.

As the other gods prepare for a war that could end them all, it is up to Kate to save Henry from the depths of Tartarus. But in order to navigate the endless caverns of the Underworld, Kate must enlist the help of the one person who is the greatest threat to her future.

Henry's first wife, Persephone.
