This is the first book that I have read by Brooklyn Ann. I did enjoy it very much. When Ion Ashton, Lord Vampire of London, attends a ball and try to seem as mortal as possible, he meets his neighbor, Angelica Winthrop. Angelica's mother is trying to get her married to a wealthy person and she wants no part of it. When she sneaks into Ion's house to see what it is like, he has to save her reputation and decides to marry her. Will their relationship work out for them, or will his secret be revealed.
