I thought this book was interesting but too predictable. It also relied on a lot of fairy tale clichés, such as the poor fisherman falling in love with the princess, the fairy and human in love, and the independent princess who cuts her hair and pretends to be a boy. Other than that, it was a fine book, not the best of fairy tale remakes, but not awful.
