One of my favorite historical fiction books. Interesting characters, amazing location and history I knew nothing about.

This book's historical inaccuracy and plot holes are distracting. I understand that not every historical fiction book can have stringent accuracy.. But even the personalities didn't feel real to me. The culture was wrong. It felt like a book about white kids in suburbia with India painted behind them.. it never felt real. I felt so disgruntled by this incongruity that I never finished this book.
