Sam Rockwell elevates this as the focal character of a midlife-crisis dramedy. This is definitely not for people who are bothered by sex, drugs, affairs, or the like, and SPOILER ALERT there is no real punishment for all the transgressions. So a certain kind of moralist would loathe this.

I'm meh on it because it really broke no new ground. And yeah, the voice over was entirely unnecessary (and is in all movies. It's a VISUAL medium. Use the pictures to tell the story.)

A really good idea for a film.
And its full of amusing incident,..
but I found that the constant use of voiceovers, in order to tell the story, disrupted the flow of the tale.
Too chopped up !

And the magical improvement from using drugs ... ??

...not so funny.

Wilde looked very pretty in the movie but nothing else worked.
