This is the first Jo Nesbo book I read (and the English translated version from the Norwegian).
I absolutely LOVED the book - the mysteries were well sustained, the characters were well developed. I think the character development was key - every minor character got enough play that you cared about them.

I definitely plan to read more by Jo Nesbo

Uneven.

Starts slow. Ending is self-indulgent and overwritten. Middle portions contain great Nesbo writing.
