This is the hardest book to review. I'm torn between the amazing unexpected ending, the gaps that the author didn't fill and the 100 VERY boring pages from Lorraine's perspective. Firstly, the 100 pages or maybe more from Lorraine's perspective were unnecessary. I didn't care to know about her life or her problems with her daughters and husband. I read this book to know what will happen for the creepy nanny and the poor pregnant woman, and to know why Zoe was doing what she was doing. Secondly, when I finished this book it reminded me of ''The Murder of Roger Ackroyd'' by Agatha Christie because when I finished both of these books I was like WOW! Except that Agatha Christie didn't write false thoughts for the main character to distract us BUT Mrs. Hayes did. Lastly, the good side about the book, the ending was REALLY GOOD, and it covered all the book's flaws. Truly I didn't see it coming, and after reading other reviews about the book I found that I wasn't the only one. This book is highly recommended and for me it is a 7/10 book.

It's not bad from the point of view as psychological thriller. Author tried to put some unexpected twists, but for me they weren't completely unexpected.
Kind of tired of a topic about disturbed, pathologically insane women who want to have children no matter what.

I usually figure out the "surprize" ending--this one surprized me. More
mystery than thriller, but kept me reading

Hard book to put down. The end blew my mind. Loved the characters from the start. Can't wait to see what Samantha Hayes comes out with next

Very good book. Had me wondering to the end how it would end and ended with a big surprise. Excellent.

A very good thriller. One of those that keeps you up way too late reading to find out what is going to happen. I look forward to other books by this author!
