I'm a lover of medieval history and this biography stands out with its meticulous research and story-telling style. Great book!

This is a serious academic work that took me over 6 weeks to read. It is a 180 from Marlowe's portrayal of her in his play Edward II. ACT's production of the play was a disservice to the historical Queen isabella/
