African conservationist Lawrence Anthony accepted a herd of rogue wild elephants on his game reserve in Zululand because he was the herd's last chance for survival. Amazing story. Highly recommend the audio version.

Interesting tales of life among a recalcitrant herd of elephants. The tales became a bit redundant, but it was interesting.

Warm and honest in his coming to terms with elephant behaviour, Lawrence Anthony tells a story of his journey from being a man with an open heart to a man who has come to understand and respect the needs of his small elephant herd. Not a book to fear, as it is full of laughter and happy stories. There is one sad part, but it can be put into context and understood. Basically uplifting and highly informative.
