Add a CommentThelonious Monk's music was the best part of this film for me. I did enjoy some of Weber's ideas about photography. I didn't enjoy many of the other conversations, by other photographers and/or critics and/or historians about photography in general; much of it just seemed to be old men blowing a lot of hot air; did they even listen to each other? The write-up also said Weber was a cab driver turned photographer. Weber was already taking photographs before he started driving a cab and he only drove for one year and hated the whole thing. So the focus on this as a catalyst for his work seemed off to me. As you can probably tell, I do not recommend this film.
Wonderful documentary on the n.y. street photogrpher Matt Weber. If you ever wondered what it takes to become a street photographer, after this film you'll surely know.
