Coolhaus custom-built sandwiches, named after famous architects, are sold in supermarkets across the country, as well as from trucks in Los Angeles, New York, Austin, and Dallas. Now the owners part with the recipes for their coolest creations, like the BuckMINTster Fuller (Dirty Mint Chip Ice Cream with Chocolate Chip Cookies) and the Frank Behry (Strawberry Gelato with Snickerdoodles). Daring flavors range from classic (Cookies and Sweet Cream), to boozy (Bourbon Manhattan), to vegan (Lychee Martini), and even savory (Fried Chicken and Waffle). Sandwiched among the treats are tips on ice cream making, profiles of major and up-and-coming architects, and amusing tales of the owners' forays into the ice cream business.

This book makes me want an ice cream maker (and a place to put it!)
The book starts with the describing the (awesome) way that they ended up doing selling ice cream out of a truck (that didn't run at first).
This book has a lot of real ice cream, as well as some gelatos and sorbets. They have some classic / "normal" flavors such as mint chocolate chip and vanilla, but most of the recipes are a lot more interesting (such as spicy pineapple cilantro-chile ice cream and sorbet, blueberry mojito ice cream, foie gras ice cream, thai iced tea gelato).
They also have several recipes for cookies to make ice cream sandwiches. They have a few vegan cookies and a few gluten-free cookies, but all the vegan ones have gluten and all the gluten-free have butter.
