For decades, ex-government agent Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) has been one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives. Brokering shadowy deals for criminals across the globe, Red was known by many as "The concierge of Crime." Now, he's mysteriously surrendered to the FBI with an explosive offer: he will help catch the world's most elusive criminals, under the condition that he speaks only to Elizabeth "Liz" Keen (Megan Boone), an FBI profiler fresh out of Quantico. For Liz, it's going to be one hell of a first day on the job.

heard so much about it, and they were right, it's good! not good-good, but fast-paced and appealing. I can't wait to watch season 2. James Spader was on Boston Legal and plays the same type of arrogant charmer, but hey, it's enjoyable to watch. Wish I could say the same for the annoying girl character.

Twenty two episodes, ~40 minutes each, over 15 hours of rapid parade of world class monsters. There were a few snafus in several subplots but soon forgiven and forgotten as events raced on, led but Raymond Red, with his excessive autistic head movements and facial tics during delivery of zingers; aided by a team of FBI agents.

Have only watched one episode but just having James Spader in it alone says it all. Excellent actor and have enjoyed what I have seen so far.

Initially bad but gradually gets better. Too many stolen material (Silence of the Lambs) moments, and Spader comes off even more arrogant than he was in any of his other work. But his character, a long-winded gas bag, does grow on you and his acting and pacing is impeccable. Agree with others on the internet that the wig is horrible and distracting and that the lead actress has zero emotional range/depth. Ditto for her FBI co-workers. Why this show works: Spader and because America is tired of crime shows about women being killed and kids being abducted. The FBI tackles many types of cases and crimes. If you like this show you may also enjoy Orphan Black.

Thrilling series with excellent casting. Spader does a fantastic job playing Red as both a powerful criminal and a charismatic individual. I can't wait for season 2 to premiere.

Oh my gosh. You have no idea what you're missing. Try a grapefruit gusher. It's just like you today. A little sour.

She's (woman in painting) breathtakingly unattractive but she's worth over $40 million. The only Vermeer in private hands. ... Last night, I got up for a scoop of orange sherbet and she caught my eye. I just stood here in the dark squinting at her. Poor thing ruined my appetite. Even after I went back to bed, all I could hear was the hideous music she must be playing. Didn't sleep a wink.

I was a life guard my junior year in high school. Had to give mouth-to-mouth to Mrs. Beerman. She belched up a lung full of corned beef and chlorine. I haven't been in a pool since.

You can't judge a book by its cover. But you can by its first few chapters, and certainly by its last.

Abraham! I refer important clients to you, people who are vital to my business. People whose livelihood depends on your confidentiality, and you roll over like a cockapoo wanting his belly scratched?

Agent Keen, I have a tip. You're a winter, not an autumn. Stop wearing olive.

Strontium 90 isn't something you can just pick up at your local piggly wiggly. It's a waste by-product of nuclear reactors - toxic, highly regulated. There's only a handful of people in the world who can procure it in sizable quantities.

Terrifying. You know this artist got his start with puppets? What is it about puppets? It's the same with clowns. I'll never forget a puppet show I saw when I was five, maybe six. Hansel and Gretel.
