A typical "who done it?" mystery with witty banter and a quick pace. What set it apart and made it worth the read, was the Chinese cooking. The author went into great detail with ingredients, methods and the history and culture behind the recipes. I also learned several insults in Mandarin.

I enjoyed this book. I found it humorous and the chinese cooking details to be interesting.
