Realtor Oren Little, willfully obnoxious to anyone who might cross his path, he wants nothing more than to sell one last house and retire in peace and quiet; until his estranged son drops off a granddaughter he never knew existed. Clueless about how to care for the abandoned nine-year-old, he pawns her off on his determined and lovable neighbor Leah and tries to resume his life. But little by little, Oren stubbornly learns to open his heart; to his family, to Leah, and to life itself.

I enjoyed the amusing movie. At first I was not impressed with Oren Little (Michael Douglas) as a self-centered jerk. Late in the movie he changed and became a more caring person. Leah (Diane Keaton) was great. Not for a young audience.

Cute, touching. Finding or accidentally finding love after your longtime spouse passes away. Oren Little is self-centered, ungiving and mean spirited while Keaton is sensitive, loving and kind. Although she lacks self-confidence, Oren makes up for it and has enough confidence for both of them.
Oren relaxes becomes a kinder person when his grand daughter comes into his life.

Though this movie was a total waste of time and had nothing to offer. Pick something else!

Mildly amusing, but neither Douglas nor Keaton were believable in their respective roles. The little girl was cute though.

I love Diane Keaton and I was a big fan of Michael Douglas in his Romancing the Stone days, but the character he plays in this movie is just too unlikable.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It would be especially appealing for older adults. Watched it twice before returning.

Typical Diane Keaton movie. I would give it a 5/10 A couple of laughs and some entertainment. At least Michael D. wasn't the sex maniac he usually plays!
