From Library Staff

Definitely more adult content-wise, this raucous and funny fantasy adventure has a variety of interesting women working together and playing together.

I adore these characters! If you're not bothered by gore and raunchy humor, this is a wonderful and loving send-up of fantasy tropes. It's just fun to read about four dear friends who get to fight evil together!

Four friends work hard and play hard as they make their way in the world... as mercenaries for hire in a high fantasy world. Think Sex and the City meets Lord of the Rings, as directed by Quentin Tarantino.

This is an awesome, B.A. series. I adore the characters and the world. It's like "Sex and the City" meets "Lord of the Rings". Weird combo, I know, but totally worth it.

File this under "Things I Didn't Know I Needed In My Life But I'm So Glad It's Here Now". Rat Queens is like watching the snarkiest game of DnD unfold with completely three-dimensional characters fill with all the wit and dark humor one could ask for.

This hilariously geeky graphic novel features four sassy heroines (human cleric, elven mage, dwarven fighter, and halfling rogue). Parts of the book read like a classic Dungeons & Dragons campaign, including the surprised: -4 to initiative rolls. The artwork is amazing, the characters adorable, and the story has genuine depth.

Very fun comedic very violent graphic novel! Strong female role models to the max!

Definitely for RPG loving teens.
Throughout the series, no doubt does it always have that intense and overwhelmingly hilarious spin to it.

The art has even now continued to amaze me. extremely original style and full of color and character.

Hoping for more novels in the future for sure!!
