Being literally lost in a good book sounds like a dream come true for Owen, who's obsessed with the Kiel Gnomenfoot fantasy series (think Harry Potter). So when Owen learns that his classmate Bethany has the power to jump into any book, he convinces her to take them both inside the Gnomenfoot ser... Read More »

One of my favorites. I really enjoyed the way the author wrote it and the plot. Also, one of the characters is epicly awesome and one of the reasons this book is my home.
Keep in mind that there is character development involved, so if you hate any of the characters, *whispers* just keep swimming...
The mystery of who the real author is of this series and the rest of this "James Riley's" books is what makes this book intruiging.
(Try reading the back of the book ;)

I just finished this five book series. They were pretty good. But they are also really confusing, though half as confusing as the series of unfortunate events. Good job by the author, and at the end it looks like he'll have another series. (in the acknowledgements.)

This was such a fun book, but be patient because it starts slowly. I loved watch Bethany and Owen grow as characters by the end.

If you are contemplating reading this book and reading through the comments to see if you should - then the short answer is yes!!!

I loved this book (and the next one too)! I loved it and the author's writing style so much that I was tickled with the Acknowledgements. If the author can make the Acknowledgements page amazing imagine what he can do for the rest of the story!

Enjoy!!

I absolutely LOVED this book!
It referenced other great books and had much for readers to relate to. It had clever word play and great theories.
Fans of Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and Fablehaven will positively love this book!
It is truly a must-read.

Wooooooow! How I would give anything to have Bethany's awesome power. So cool to be reading a book about the love of books, I think it just about sums my life up perfectly. From the adventures too the good turning bad (WHAT?!) it's a very amusing read.
