This has many highly amusing bits. Jokes, moments, scenes, running gags, wry commentary, puns, and parody. It has a plot and character development that are adequate. The whole, strangely enough, is not quite as good as the sum of its parts. Still, if you "live in the moment" while reading it, you'll find yourself entertained more often than not.

Zany, humorous, mysterious - with a crazy hodgepodge of images. Fabulous new read for middle grade students.
