As fans of his earlier books will expect, there are annotated lists galore -- and a revealing peek at the titles on Michael's nightstand. I enjoyed the author's writing style. However he should get his nose out of a book and spend more time living (eg, visiting his Mom). He could take his books of poetry along to read to her (seniors love poetry)! He needs to buy only one more book, one on decluttering. I feel sorry for his wife!

This was enjoyable light reading. The kind of book that you could read in small little pockets of time. I would have preferred that all the essays were about books and literature but some covered other topics that I wasn't as interested in. The author has a particular interest in older fiction, especially Sci-Fi and Mysteries so if you are interested in older books, you will certainly enjoy this.
