Unheard of British law, per wiki: In English law, an appropriate adult is a parent, guardian or social worker; or if no person matching this is available, any responsible person over 18. The term was introduced as part of the policing reforms in the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 and applies in England and Wales. Anyway, a docudrama of the horrific serial killer of young women through the eyes and mind of the social worker who was appointed the "appropriate adult" during the chilling police interviews and gruesome murder scene visits. Unforgettable performance by character actor Emily Watson and Dominic West, AKA Jimmy McNulty in The Wire. Warning - true crime, one of the worst I've read/heard about. As this quote: "Once someone puts some terrible
knowledge in your head you're stuck with it forever, aren't you?"

Some of the unspeakable quotes were the crime scenes, the lies and manipulative statements from the psychopath, photos of the young female victims ...

To sum up, there is this quote:
Once someone puts some terrible knowledge in your head, you're stuck with it forever, aren't you? But you came through it. You exposed yourself to all that poison and you came through.
- Did I?
===
'I'll never stop thinking about them. 'About all the lost lives. 'And all the people who have to carry on 'after what this has done to them.'
