How can you not like the little people. Also watching Connery sing is a plus. Handsome as ever. If you are watching this with little ones it may be hard to understand because it is spoken in a heavy Irish accents. Subtitles is a must. Great back ground information on how the filmed the film too that the kids loved.

A fun movie about Ireland and Irish beliefs in leprechauns, fairies, the banshee, and the death coach ride. See a very young Sean Connery. Albert Sharpe is not to be missed in his performance as the older man who likes his drink and is knowledgeable about the "little people," etc. Estelle Winwood is another classic character actor. Family movie has adventure, romance, and (pub) brawl or two.

This 1959 movie really holds up well. With special FX by Disney master craftsman, Academy Award winning, Peter Ellenshaw, and with a story well told: This movie is just a pleasure to watch. It really is a wonderful piece of movie magic. Delightful — at any age.

Great to see Sean Connery's second feature film. There is a good brief special feature about him too. Walt Disney's usual attention to detail and character actors is marvelous here. A St Patrick's day favourite in our family for all ages. Enjoy!

A movie I watched numerous times as a child and as cheesy as the effects are the movie was still great to watch again and share with my daughter.
