Front LinesBook - 2016
From Library Staff
In this alternate historical fiction story, females are also drafted during WWII. Three girls sign up voluntarily, all for different reasons, and their strength and courage help save the future. This is the first book in a 2-book series.

I was very pleased that Michael Grant brought strong women to the forefront of this WWII alternate history novel. I also appreciate that one of the girls is African American and one is Jewish. The diversity is wonderful, and I can't deny myself a good war story.

What if girls were eligible for the draft? Grant explores this idea in his gritty, very realistic alternate World War II history through the eyes of three fierce young women.
