This presentation gives the drug company's insight into the intensity of this worldwide scientific research race to find a treatment for Alzheimer's. You see the amount of time, money, personnel and equipment dedicated to this effort. It shows how gene mapping has been important in designing research centered around families. I was disappointed that it focused only on treatment and no time was spent discussing the current hypotheses on possible causes of the disease other than genetics.

Lots of easy to understand explainations. Wonderful to see such dedicated researchers, doctors, nurses & sufferers. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart. Drug studies are terrifying (I was on one when I was 14) & wish I could say thankyou to these "lab rats".

As early onset Alzheimer's runs in my family it is very likely I will have it in 10-20 years (Im 30 now) so knowing the drug companies are doing human trials gives me hope that it can be slowed & maybe even stopped by the time I have symptoms.
