A good mystery with excellent characters, both lead and side ones. They are interesting, engaging, and just flawed enough. The relationships between them are good, too, kids with the adults and especially the friendship between the two 7th grade protagonists.

Florian Bates has a Sherlock-Holmes-level ability to notice small details that add up to big conclusions. This leads to his happenstance involvement in a theft at the art gallery where his parents work, which draws the attention of the FBI. He ends up using his genius to consult with the agency on the case, involving him in far more adventure than anyone had anticipated.

This was a great book and I didn't want to bring it back to the library. It was full of mystery and twisters and completely pulled me into the story. I was really satisfied with this book and I'm waiting for the sequel to be open.
