It's not terrible. Some of the capers are clever and memorable. If I wanted to really understand all the technical stuff going on, I would have to watch repeatedly - which I have no wish to do, it's just way too fast to process.

I do find it highly troubling to reflect on the many scenes of the hero, Bishop, shooting/exploding/neck-snapping/face-grilling unnamed thugs in various locales. This is a frequent trope in movies of this type, but in an age of mass shootings by mentally ill people, shouldn't such scenes give us pause? Aren't the emotional reactions we experience -- cheering on the good guy, pleased as he fells unknown strangers in endless variety -- exactly the same as those troubled people are seeking?

I think -- and hope -- that future generations will see this more clearly and look at such films with a sense of horror and distaste that takes a bit more soul-searching for us to reach.

First one was ok, this one isn't.

Typical Jason Steatham movie where they throw in a babe (Jessica Alba). That's all folks!

He fixed nothing.

....meh. I can't say that I expected much from this film. Sadly, Jason Statham seems to get 3 types of roles -- driver, fighter, guy who's trying to stay alive in an action-gag/cheap-humor and don't watch those films with your mom. This is another 'fighter' flick for Statham and a part-2 at that. As a stand-alone fighter-action flick, it's fine, it's good ..... it's just another film that we've already seen Statham in before when looked at in the cannon of the films he's in. The copy I got skipped around through most of the film and even didn't play the sound for 10 minutes and I don't feel I missed anything.

Not my usual type movie. Enjoyed the action in this film, entertaining. Something different to watch a change of pace!

Jason Statham playing the same watered down Transporter character he plays in almost every movie he's in. Jessica Alba looks pretty good as she tries her best to act. You have a forgettable villain and Tommy Lee Jones wasted. Some decent action scenes but nothing you can't see elsewhere in much better films. I like mindless action from time to time, but this film was just plain stupid. It's really a shame the state of Statham's career. He was amazing in Snatch and the Transporter. Maybe he just needs scripts written by real script writers.

Had to watch it a second time. Not as good as the 1972 or 2011 versions of the Mechanic, but still pretty good. Guess it's because I am a fanatic of the Mechanic series of movies.

Really stupid sloppy shootem-up. With really stupid henchmen.

While the original Charles Bronson film is dated, the one aspect I enjoyed was his methodical way of plotting a plan for his next victim that didn't involved far fetched antics.

I like Jason but this seemed more like a James Bond Movie than a Mechanic.

Courier: I do say so.

No quotes in IMDb yet. Here are a few:
-Hello Mae
You're different.
-Older Um, something more than that. I need time to find someone before they find me. Then I'll be moving on.
PENANG, MALAYSIA ( prison on Penjara Keday.) The prison is 70 miles out to sea. Set atop cliffs more than a hundred meters high, and surrounded by shark-infested waters. So, basically impossible to get in, and nobody has ever gotten out.
I was sold to an East End gangster who specialized in training child soldiers.
My father was a doctor of eastern medicine. He was a healer. Bishop used to study with him.
-To learn how to heal? A man like him?
I thought so too, but my father understood that those who were hurt the most often have the greatest ability to heal.

Cook's paranoia is only trumped by his ego. Exhibit A. His cantilever pool. The walls and floors are all concrete, 3 feet thick. Every door is made of 6 inch nickel chromium steel. That's like 12 armor plates.
And the biometric sensors and retina readers at the access points are impossible to hack. It's a fortress in the sky.
I saw The David and Goliath story play out in frontlines of Vietnam. Soviets in Afghanistan. Ethnic cleansing in Bosnia. Chemical weapons on the Kurds. The little guy is always gonna need a slingshot.
What is it you want to talk about?
-I want to help you avoid an accident.
On the north side of Varna there lies a true memorial to Bulgarian Communism. Adams spent a fortune re-storing it and putting in the most comprehend security system. But the interesting part is what you don't see.

I never imagined dying would be so goddamn invigorating.
-Stay out of sight for a few days. After that you can reinvigorate all you want.
You calling for your driver? Making dinner reservations? checking in with mother?
-I'm calling Crain to make sure he takes the bait.
You do know how to put on a show.
(Steel chamber containing trapped air allowing divers to breath while submerged underwater.)
Clever son of a bitch! sneaky bastard!
You might get off the boat ,but you'll never swim far enough away before she blows.
-Who said I would swim?
-You have to die.
Well, that's easy. Although it will cost a tremendous amount of money.
