Still enjoying this series. It continues to be about a police woman who is exceptional at her job while barely keeping her family together. This season the frat boy atmosphere at work is getting cleaned up a bit, but her family is making sure Lewis doesn't get a break. The crime part of the drama is still excellent. If you enjoy the Vera series you will probably like this.

As with Set 1, the stories are generally quite good. What I'm finding annoying is the amount of the personal life of the lead detective that creeps into the plot. Less is better, otherwise it slows down the pace of the main story. My two cents.

Blue Murder is a series with a few, okay a lot of cliches and clumsy writing. For example, in episode one you will find: a mass confession, a rogue cop breakin' the rules, "come alone...tell no one where you're going", and a man who jumped out a window lying around without medical care, while the rest of the cast explains the plot, which still doesn't make much sense. And twins? Hell, yeah; identical ones. There is one ongoing problem: the lead detective's dreary personal life. Her friends and family somehow don't understand she can't work Monday to Friday, nine to five. Jeez, enough with the whining, people. Yet it hangs together, with the help of good acting, a few creative twists, and a low-key Englishness. You could do worse.

I wish the description of this DVD included the titles of the episodes on it.

Great British series. One not to miss. Love it so much that I am hoping it comes back again. Acting was superb. Gruesome murders. DCI Janine Lewis is a fantastic actress. Dont miss this one.
