The movie I choose to review is called “Queen of Katwe”. I think this movie is an emotional journey on why people around the world should always appreciate what they have because once you will see this movie you will know how important it is to never take things for granted because there is someone in the world who is going through something a lot harder to deal with. When I first saw this movie I was inspired to see the world through someone else’s eyes. This book can be for anyone that enjoys a journey to success and that the poorest people can make a difference. I think this movie is appropriate for all ages and it will not be a movie you will forget. I would recommend it to a lot of people. This has to be one of my favorite movies and I hope it will soon be one of your favorites. This movie has changed my life in so many ways to show people not to give up. I encourage you to watch this movie and I promise you, you will not be disappointed. This movie is full of suspense, drama, mystery and most of all inspiration for everyone. I’m not going to spoil any of the movie but I really hope you see it in the future.

Interesting, compelling story which might be a good motivational tool for young people. Very slow in some sections, however that's why we have the fast forward button.

A must-watch incredible life story of Phiona Mutesi, who just started attending Northwest University in Kirkland, WA this year! Welcome to our state/city, Phiona! A beautiful movie!! Loved it.

A family friendly, enjoyable, albeit at times heartbreaking, movie. Based on a true story.

If you are familiar with the basic formula for an inspiring film, you probably won't be too surprised by this movie. The formula is done very well here, though, and Queen of Katwe is worth seeing at least once. I'm sure I would have liked it more if I understood and played chess. The movie is rated PG for thematic elements, an accident scene and some suggestive material.

I am sure that the story on which this film was based was inspiring, but the movie was very sanitized with too many Disney emotional moments.

The gift that keeps on giving. My brother recommended this movie, saying he and wife and kids loved it. Well, I liked subject matter, but was worried about Disney treatment. Man was I blown away! Should have known... director Mira Nair usually doesn't disappoint (Monsoon Wedding, Bend It Like Beckham) and here is no exception. She has a real eye for place...and the colors of the land and its people wherever she is telling the story. Also great acting all around.

"Have you heard of chess?" "Me I know. You kiss a person and try to catch them." :)
