This novel about the life and death of a small town begins with strong character development, then becomes a bit of a history lesson as it progresses from 1889 to 2021. Contains whimsy as well as a bit of ugliness, and lots of imagination.

Follow a whole town and all the great characters over a century of history, life, death, and social changes. Funny, engaging, and a joy to read. Fannie Flagg really brings the characters to life!
